INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD TEAMS ARE VERY SUCCESSFUL AT PENN STATE

Congratulations to the Indoor Track & Field Teams for a successful wrap up to the regular season.  The team traveled to Penn State on Saturday and had much success.  The boys 4 x 400 meter relay team (Muhammad Yasin, Armando Drain, Alvin Moore, Adrian Vaughn) qualified for the State Championship with a region leading time of 3:29.  The boys 4 x 200 meter relay (Bobby Lewis, Sean Price, Armando Drain, Alvin Moore) and the boys 4 x 800 meter relay team (Will Sickenberger, Dan O'Malley, Sam Boone, Jacob Grundahl) both qualified for the region championships with season best times.  Sean Price set a new school record with a 44-6 triple jump and also qualified for the region championship.  Bobby Lewis advanced to the 60 meter dash final and Austin Leggett set a personal best in the mile.  Alvin Moore (200), Ian Angara (200), Muhammad Yasin (400), Kevin Muir (3000), Armando Drain 60H), and Brad Cohen (3000) set indoor personal bests.

The girls 4 x 200 (Morgan Barlow, Kyannah Calhoun, Michelle Peal, Naimah Coleman) and 4 x 400 (Morgan Barlow, Kyannah Calhoun, Michelle Peal, Valerie Moyer) relays also set season personal bests.   Michelle Peal and Amalia Harte jumped season bests in the triple jump.  Lara Duffy set a personal best in the mile.  Shoshanna Jiang (800), Sreya Kamineni (800), Morgan Barlow (400), Jessie Sells (400), Sadie Belt (200), and Michelle Peal (200) set indoor personal bests.
